Staci Schmid – Vice President

Staci is not only vice president for the board, but serves as our representative for the USD418 McPherson School District on behalf of low-income families. She currently works at Eisenhower Elementary School as a K-5 Family Advocate. Previously she was the Case Manager for MHC, so she has a good understanding of the kinds of issues our low-income families face every day. These experiences, plus being Case Manager for Disability Supports of the Great Plains and the Early Childhood Office/Headstart, have given her great knowledge of and compassion for families living in poverty.

A 1997 graduate of McPherson College, Staci has a degree in education. This has stood her in good stead throughout her career working with families in need. Even when not working for the school district, Staci had a good understanding of how to help families dealing with educational concerns.

Staci and her husband Ryan have two teenagers. They enjoy worshipping together at the First United Methodist Church, cheering on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, and watching Hayes and Ella participate in sporting events.
